Proposition 65 - Complaints Continue

Propositon 65 60-day notices & complaints continue to be filed related to allegations of exposure to lead from the outside surfaces of glass & ceramicware. Russell Brimer, a frequent California Proposition 65 plaintiff, filed 10 new 60-day notices in late March naming various distributors, restaurants, retailers & others involved in the manufacture & distribution of glass & ceramic products. Actions continue against various other defendants including companies that were party to the 1993 settlement between the State of California & various tableware manufacturers. There have been approximately 400 Proposition 65 notices related to glass & ceramicware filed since the August 2005 Boelter settlement.
