A label that shows how much a package is being recycled has now signed up its 100th company, says the British Retail Consortium (BRC). The On-Pack Recycling Label, which was launched by the BRC as a public awareness campaign, is aimed at reducing the amount of recyclable packaging going to landfill. It appears on more than 60,000 product lines. The label indicates three levels of recycling - widely recycled, not currently recycled, and one advising to check local recycling practices. The BRC says attention is now shifting towards raising public awareness of the label and encouraging consumers to recycle more. For more information please visit: www.brc.org.uk
