Production Rationalisation For Osram

Osram sylvania, the US lighting manufacturer, plans to stop soda lime glass production at its factory in the state of Rhode Island. A factory in Kentucky would make the glass for fluorescent lamps, and one in Pennsylvania would make the glass for incandescent lamps. The firm says the three factories have been running at 70% capacity because of falling demand and rising imports. (whole item)
