Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2009 (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2009

Coming into force October/November 2009, this legislation, specific to producers (including packaging industry and retailers), this legislation covers: removal of the option of "individual compliance"; all producers will have to join a compliance scheme. There will also be a number of technical changes, mainly brought forward by the Environment Agency and Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, to provide greater clarity and remove inconsistencies within the Regulations.
