Emhart Glass has introduced the 565 AC Servo Shear to maintain precise gob cutting. The 565 AC Servo Shear is a parallel shearing mechanism that precisely cuts the glass fed from the spout and it is easy to set-up. It has been designed to cut glass ar rates of 1-250 cuts/min. The low inertia brushless motor and mechanism design limits blade-to-glass contact time to 40millisec (1in or 25mm diameter gob). It also has the ability to adjust the length of shear stroke providing optimum shear performance for all types of gob. The synchronised cutting forms consistent gob shapes and weights with reduced shear marks.
