Ppg Industries Recycles Waste Glass Fibre

PPG Industries has installed a US$1.6M unit to recycle waste glass fibre at its manufacturing plant in The Netherlands. The investment will enable the plant to recycle more than 90% of its waste glass fibre. PPG believes that this will significantly reduce its use of raw materials, which will preserve natural resources and reduce transport costs. It will also help to decrease the amount of waste the company disposes of at landfills. The unit recycles waste glass fibre through two melting furnaces at the plant.
