Ppg Industries To Build Second Plant In China

PPG Industries and its joint venture partner, Nan Ya Plastics, are to build a second fibre glass manufacturing furnace at their facility in Kunshan, China. The additional furnace, with 38,000/tpy capacity, will serve the expanding electronics and thermoplastics industries. Construction of the furnace began in 2004, with startup scheduled for the first quarter of 2006.
