Portuguese-based Metaglobal has introduced a device to control the level of coating thickness units (CTUs) on the glass surface without laboratory analysis. The portable MEN-628 can measure the thickness of metallic oxides on the glass surface resulting from hot end application. With a resolution of 1 CTU and precision of 2%, the device can be used by manufacturers of glass bottles and jars, as well as tableware and flat glass. It is designed as a light, yet robust device that withstands aggressive environments such as high temperatures, dust and humidity. Contact: Ri-cardo.Moreira@metaglobal.pt
