Plm Redfearn - Sean Quinn

PLM Redfearn are leading opposition against grant aided support for the Sean Quinn glassworks, a proposed new glass container factory for Northern Ireland. The Barnsley-based company does not want to prevent open and honest competition but opposes the use of the £13.1m grant to "swap jobs from one area of the UK to another". The company says that the support will lead to increased pressure on prices with resultant loss of jobs. (whole item)
