Plant Control Software

Safe, efficient plant operation is the priority in the design of software control systems from the German furnace construction and consultancy company HORN Glasanlagenbau. An example of the software control concept in action is a project in the Fujian Provice of China for a 270 t/d container glass tank with two forehearths and two annealing lehrs. According to HORN, it was not particularly difficult to decide in favour of a software control system, because the universal application of a PLC system suggest itself as the solution for today's client requriements. Uniform spare part stock-keeping, the ready availability of replacement components in the event of breakdown, compact design and a wide range of possibilities for expansion are only some of the arguments in favour.
