Pilkington - Saint-Gobain Joint Venture In Poland Deferred

In a brief press release towards the end of October, both Pilkington and Saint-Gobain announced that plans for their joint venture in Poland have been deferred due to the softening of demand in some EU markets. The joint venture was established to build a 260,000 tonnes/year flat glass plant in Wykroty that was due to start production early 2003. (whole item)
