Pilkington To Cut More Jobs

Pilkington is to cut another 2500 jobs from its workforce worldwide although Germany and North America are likely to be hardest hit. The move is part of the restructuring plan introduced by chief executive Paolo Scaroni to cut costs and increase profits. This next wave of job losses will take the number of redundancies since Mr Scaroni took over to 10,000 from a total of 39,000. (whole item)
