[Philippines] San Miguel Plan New Furnace

Philippine group San Miguel Corp (SMC) wants to build a 300 mtpd furnace with 4 IS-10 lines at its Cavite plant. The project was originally planned for Laguna province but after technical presentations and submission bids it was shelved. It was then revived to be located in first Quezon and then an 800t/d furnace project in Davao province. It is now considering to locate a 300t/d furnace, called Furnace YC, at its San Miguel Yamamura Asia Corporation (SMYAC) plant in Cavite province. The company is in the process of submitting updated bids for the application.
