Borosilicate glass markets in Asia are steadily expanding at the world's highest annual growth with production and consumption bases mainly concentrated in the Asia Pacifc countries of Japan, China, India, S Korea, Taiwan and ASEAN bloc's major industrial countries, where consumer demands mainly int he pharmaceutical, industrial and household sectors have tremendous increase following high GDP growth since the closing quarter of the last century. Except for Japan, S Korea and Taiwan, all other countries have been maintaining an annual GDP growth of 607%+ over the last decade. This article looks at the major developments in the growing borosilicate glass markets of the entire Asian continent, and asks if capacity is all set to cope with a steadily increasing demand.
