An innovative wine pack with environmental credentials has been released in Australia. Thomas Hardy & Sons has unveiled a new product range called Shuttles, which holds 187ml of wine in a shaped, injection-stretch-blow-moulded PET bottle. The closure is in the form of a wine glass, injection moulded in two parts. This screws on to the top of the bottle and fits against a shoulder two-thirds of the way down. The cap is fitted with a wad of plastic and foil. The wraparound label is printed litho on plain paper and advises that there is a 5% deposit returnable at collection centres in Australia.
