Peatiest Ever Scotch

Glenmorangie's Ardbeg is said to be the peatiest malt on the market and now its Supernova derivative is described as "The peatiest Ardbeg ever" with a content of over 100ppm, which is 40% more than the 10-year old. 3000 bottles of the latest whisky sold out in just 112 minutes when it was offered for sale online to the Ardbeg Committee, a group of 47,000 enthusiasts across 112 countries. At 58.9%ABV, its RRP is £79.99. The distillery on Islay has had to call in air support to shore up the sides of Loch Uigeadail some 800 feet above sea level when excess leakage threatened its water supply. 40 tonnes of building materials and a cement mixer had to be helicoptered in.
