PD Interglas Technologies hopes to extend its facility in Sherborne, Dorset, in order to accommodate a new coating and laminating line. Approval from the West Dorset District Council would secure the future of the present workforce and lead to more jobs. The aim is to get the new coating line up and running by February 2006. PD Interglas produces fibre glass fabric for several industry sectors. The extension would be used as a manufacturing site to meet demand for one of the company's newest products, ATEX, to be made exclusively at Sherborne. The totally new in-house development has applications for architectural structures and membranes.
