Paraguay Factory Comes Onstream

Fabrica Paraguaya de Vidrios has been officially opened by the president of the Paraguyan Republic and the owner company, Quilmes Brewery. The factory produces around 100/tpd white or amber glass (60m bottles/pa). Main production will be beer bottles, but also bottles for sodas and other drinks. Around 60% of production is exported to regional markets. During the inauguration it was revealed that 99% of the factory's personnel are Paraguayan.
