Packaging Scheme Membership Fees Announced

Valpak, the UK collective scheme which will take over companies' obligations under the packaging waste legislation, has announced its membership fees. The cost of joining will be based on a one-off fee related to company turnover plus, from 1998, material specific levies. Membership fees will start at £1000 for companies with turnover of £1-5m, rising to £100,000 for those with a turnover over £500m. A 5% per month discount is available for early joiners, up to maximum of 50%.
