Packaging Line Layout

Kensal says it provided a turnkey solution to developing an innovative line-layout for two powdered coffee-filling lines at Premier Brands in Knighton, Staffordshire. The company says it offered a complete package, delivering a "single point contact solution" incorporating total project management. Kensal claims that line layout, after the re-deployment of the filling lines, dictated the use of a combination of new and existing equipment. The filling and capping machinery were housed in a new controlled atmosphere enclosure. According to the company, its solution was the most cost-effective whilst delivering the optimum line operation. Furthermore, the lines had to be installed within a food production environment and existing packaging lines at Knighton could not be disrupted. The project was concluded on time and within budget.
