Oxy-Fuel Melter For C Glass Fibre

Knauf Insulation has recently established a new glass insulating wool fibre production plant on a greenfield site at Krupka in the Czech Republic. The single furnace is a gas fired oxy-fuel melter with an electrical booster supplied by Sorg. The maximum melting capacity of the furnace is 170/tpd of C glass. The furnace supplies the glass to an all-electric forehearth.
