Owens Corning Increases Global Manufacturing Capacity

As construction and remodelling continue to increase in the US and in key markets around the world, Owens Corning has announced plans for two new manufacturing plants in China. A shingle plant, now under construction in East China, will open at the end of the year. It is the first Chinese facility to manufacture international standard glass fibre asphalt shingle products. A fibreglass insulation facility at Tianjin, China, is expected to be in operation by the end of the third quarter 2004. It will produce insulation products for commercial, industrial and residential construction markets.
