Owens-Corning Goes Oxy-Fuel At Wrexham

BOC Packaged Systems has successfully project executed and commissioned an on-site oxygen generation facility for Owens-Corning at its Wrexham site. The oxygen facility comprising BOC's latest containerised lithium based Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) generator and liqued oxygen back up system is designed to offer unrivalled security of supply. The VSA is capable of supplying Owens Corning with up to 60 metric tonnes of contained oxygen/day to its recently rebuilt glass furnace. The oxygen and natural gas fuel is used within the furnace to produce one of Owens Corning's latest advanced composite materials. For more information please contact BOC Gases on fax: 01276 477222.
