Onyx Uk Handled Over 3M Tonnes Of Waste In 2003

UK waste management firm, Onyx Environmental Group, handled more than 3M tonnes of waste during 2003. This figure was revealed in the 2003 Environmental Report, issued by the UK subsidiary of the French utility & environmental services group Veolia. The report stated that Onyx had collected 1.66M/tonnes municipal waste through municipal contracts with 33 UK local authorities. Recovered paper accounted for 56,200 tonnes, followed by demolition material, 35,000 tonnes and ferrous scrap, 21,500 tonnes.
