Old Bear Goes Returnable

The Old Bear micro in Keighley, West Yorks, has taken over the concept of Recap, a training scheme for youngsters with learning difficulties after local funding dried up. Recap would procure bottles from local pubs for refilling. Pubs set aside mainly Magners 658ml glass for pick up by Recap. They then do not have to pay to get them taken away. The plant has moved to the brewery and contracts to package soft drinks have ended. Old Bear have also reused Budweiser bottles with the embossed hop logos for its 12.5% ABV Duke of Bronte Ale.
