O-I Success At Gpi Awards

O-I enjoyed success at the US-based Glass Packaging Institute's (GPI) 2013 Clear Choice Awards. The event recognises achievements over the past year in creating glass packages with shelf impact. Entries were judged on innovation, package design (including label and closure), and consumer appeal. Four products made by O-I were selected as winners: Kona Longboard Island Lager was selected as the winner of the beer category; Jack Daniel's Unaged Tennessee Rye was selected as the winner in the spirits category; Starbuck's Iced Coffee was selected as the winner in the non-alcoholic beverage category; and, Tostitos Salsa's football jar was selected as the winner in the food category. "The entries for this year's Clear Choice Awards showcased a trend in the artistry and value-add that glass packaging provides to the consumer," said Lynn Bragg, GPI President.
