O-I Senior Glass Scientist Emilio Spinosa has been named to the elite 12-member advisory board of the newly launched International Journal of Applied Glass Science. Spinosa joins other internationally recognized glass scientists from Alfred University, Corning, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Savannah River National Laboratory and Schott. The Journal, published by the American Ceramic Society, is intended to respond to the global boom in the number of glass-oriented research projects at the world's leading universities, laboratories and companies. The publication will provide the vehicle to share and analyze methods, discoveries, insights and applications being made. Spinosa is a member of O-Is team of glass scientists studying new methods of glass melting and techniques for maximizing glass natural strength.
