O-I Poland Orders Flue Gas System

[May 2017] It was reported that O-I's plant in Jaroslaw, Pland, has installed a flue gas treatment from ATS, equipping the glassworks with an efficient flue gas treatment plant. The system is among the first for the Polish container glass industry and involves lime injection inside a dry reactor upstream of an electrostatic precipitator (ESP). The lime reacts with the sulphur oxide present in the flue gases, transforming them into sulphite and sulphate which can be collected by the ESP. O-I has two plants in Poland - Jaroslaw and Antoniniek. In total it has six active furnaces in Poland.
