O-I Launches Three Standard Spirits Bottles

O-I has designed and manufactured three new spirits bottle shapes. The square, tall and round, and dump style containers are available in 70cl, 75cl, and are available in white flint glass. The tall round bottle is produced to an ultra-lightweight specification - 340g for the 70cl container. O-I believes that this is the lightest standard round currently available at this size in the UK. The square container offers the environmental benefits of the narrow neck press and blow process by using less glass and creating less waste. At 385g, the 70cl container is approximately 20% lighter than existing blow-blow standards. It is made with a 360 deg label panel to allow maximum flexibility in labelling operations.
