O-I Contains Glenlivet

The whisky distiller Chivas Brothers has introduced a new 375ml glass bottle for Glenlivet 12 years old malt. The new green bottle retains the curved shoulder and bulbous neck of the original design but has the historic cartouche engraving detail removed to accommodate a gold foil self-adhesive label. The new package was designed by O-I and is manufactured at their Alloa plant. It is significant for the US market where fractional sizes are important for established brands. The size is half that of US standard bottles and caters for consumers who want to drink at occasions. (whole item)
