O-I Closes Two Container Plants

Owens-Illinois has closed its Brockway, PA and Lakeland, Fl, container manufacturing facilities as part of a restructuring programme. Through improvements to the manufacturing process, O-I can now produce more glass containers in fewer plants and as a result, production from Brockway and Lakeland has been transferred to other sites.
