O-I And Boc Reach Oxygen Supply And Technology Agreement

Owens-Illinois and BOC Gases have completed a long term agreement under which BOC will supply oxygen and advanced combustion technology for O-I's glass container manufacturing operations worldwide, in a multi-million dollar deal. Through the arrangement BOC will fulfil O-I's oxygen requirements for its glass container furnace operations. O-I will also have exclusive rights to manufacture glass containers using BOC's proprietary oxy-fuel combustion technology, which the group has developed to improve manufacturing efficiency and environmental performance.
