O-I In 140M European Plan

O-I recently announced it is to spend 140m Euros strengthening its European operations in 2013. It aims to improve its quality, sustainability and capabilities to support the needs of its customers for more sustainable and healthy glass packaging. Investments in 2013 will comprise of furnace and glass making machine upgrades at plants in France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and the Czech Republic across all its market segments. O-I employs more than 8000 people in Europe across 11 countries, with more than 2.3BN Euros sales in 2011.
