Nippon Sheet Glass Co (Japan) has acquired a worldwide non-exclusive license from Research Frontiers Incorporated to manufacture and sell SPD-Smart light-control film. This SPD film has wide applications in a variety of SPD-Smart products including architectural, automotive, aircraft and marine windows, as well as in instantly adjustable variable tint eyewear such as sunglasses or ski goggles. NSG has already begun working with, and will be buying SPD emulsion from other licensees of Research Frontiers, coating such emulsion into an PD light-control film, and selling such film to companies licensed by Research Frontiers to make SPD-Smart end-products. Windows or sun roofs using VaryFast SPD technology can manually or automatically "tune" the amount of light, glare and heat coming into a home, office, or any other vehicle.
