Nippon Electric Acquires Ppg'S Usa Glassfibre Business

Nippon Electric Glass Co Ltd has completed its acquisition of the US glassfibre business of PPG Industries Inc. The transaction will establish a global production and supply base spanning four major locations in Japan, Malaysia, Europe and the USA and will allow the company to respond proactively to global demand in the future. Furthermore, it expects to develop and provide new glass fibres through synergies created with the recently acquired subsidiary, contributing to further innovative composite material functionality, as well as expand market presence and business growth.
