Nihon Yamamura Glass - Bottle Output At Jv To Be Boosted

Japan's Nihon Yamamura Glass Co is to add a new furnace to boost output at the bottle plant it operates in the Philippines in a joint venture with San Miguel Corp. More than HPY 7BN will be invested to increase the bottle output capacity of San Miguel Yamamura Asia Corp by 140%. A second building will be constructed for a new furnace capable of melting 91,000/tpy. This will increase total melting capacity to 157,000/tpy. The extra capacity will be used to make beer bottles for the growing domestic market and also to expand sales in Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia.
