In this article, the author reports on novel designs for drinks and packaging that stand out - the feature in glass being a pure maple syrup packaged in a bear-shaped glass bottle holding 473ml, from Highland Sugarworks in Websterville, USA. A screw-on cap closes the bottle and a viscose seal provides tamper-evidence. To emphasise the coldness of the Vermont winter, where the syrup is harvested, a knitted hat is glued onto the cap. A possible first for knitted packaging!
