New Technical Committee For Icg

A Technical Committee on Glass for Medicine and Biotechnology has been created by the International Commission of Glass. It will meet during the 2004 International Congress. The ICG was established in 1933 and is a conglomerate of organisations representing 32 countries that have an interest in the art, science and technology of glass. The International Congress meet every three years in a member country, and by the establishment of technical committees within ICG on topics of interest to the glass community. Until recently there were 21 active technical committees with more than 350 members from the participating countries. About half of these come from industry and around 64% are from Europe.
