New Shock Logging Technology For Containers

Canadian-based Sensor Wireless has introduced "Agent QC" shock logging technology to improve filling line performance. "Agent QC" uses a "smart" bottle that helps identify quality issues on the filling line. The smart bottle is a replica of the real bottle that is to be filled at its customer's packaging line; it contains active wireless sensors that, when placed on a filling line alongside real bottles, constantly transmits realtime quality monitoring data to a remote handheld computer. The smart bottle is being used in the beer, soft drinks, spirits and foods sectors, enabling brand owners to track what is happening to their products in real-time in terms of impact, vibration and temperature on the filling lines. Ardagh Glass' customer services managers have trailled Agent QC when visiting customers' filling lines and warehouses, with good results.
