Lubisol Engineering has introduced new materials which use the same or similar bonding chemistry as their Si-Seal kit, but different refractory fillers. Lubisol LFS liquid bond is produced using the technology developed in-house over the past 20 years. All the new materials have two components; dry powder packed in 25kg bags, & LFS liquid bond packed in 13kg plastic containers. The components should be mixed in a mortar mixer just before they are applied. Si-Seal FS is a castable material containing pure fused silica grains & a chemical bond. Main features are: low coefficient of expansion & high resistance to thermal shock; high mechanical strength; high corrosion resistance. Applications for this material include: production of suspended blocks for hot repair of silica crowns. AZS-Seal is a patching kit containing AZS grains & a chemical bond.
