New Processing Technology For Waste Glass

The requirements placed on the accuracy of sorting waste glass are becoming increasingly stringent. German company, Binder & Co AG, have set out to develop a completely new technology for waste glass sorting and processing. Large amounts of waste glass reach the processing plant as cullet. It is thus necessary to be able to meet the quality requirements which call for finer and finer fragments of glass and detect even the tiniest fragments of alien matter. Material that until now could not be properly sorted should be classifiable and hence recyclable in the future. For this, a special machine is required for fully automatic sorting, which will guarantee the required colour purity. On the one hand, this is to ensure a high-quality processing of mixed glass, and on the other, it is to increase the colour purity of waste glass that has already been separated according to colour.
