The new 50cl bottle is seen as a sensible alternative for couples or groups of diners wishing to drink from individual bottles. By trading up from 33cl to 50cl restaurateurs can increase their water revenue considerably. Indeed, the 50cl size is claimed to be the fastest growing size in Europe.
