New Life For Old Cutting Machines

According to Proglas Engineering GmbH, the glass cutting equipment specialist, technological progress in recent years has made a lot of glass machinery outdated, not so much because of mechanical innovations but as a result of advances in the field of computer controls. The German company offers a tuning up service for old machines whereby the equipment is enhanced with: the latest 64-bit computer-based control systems with easy-to-programme Proglas software; powerful brushless servomotors and; new electrical systems. If required, Proglas can also undertake a complete refurbishment of the machine's mechanics. After modernization, the machines can be re-installed and connected by interfaces toother cutting machines or to factory networks. Proglas underlines the cost savings which can be achieved, especially through reduced cutting & programming times.
