A New Gob Weight Control System

XPAR Vision has introduced a gob weight control system called XPAR-IGC, in addition to the Polysigma system which can be retro-fitted as a hardware extension. XPAR Vision foresees more infrared control interfaces for the glass forming process. The Polysigma continuously captures infrared images of each newly formed container, which are analysed in real-time. Since the camera is synchronised to the IS machine, the image of each bottle is automatically correlated to its origin, ie its section and mould. The greatest advantage of Polysigma is the real-time availability of hot end information. The XPAR-IGC is an automated control system that interacts with the gob formation by adjusting the tube-height. It can be applied to any forming process, is very robust, and doesn't need any preventive maintenance. For more information pleas see: www.xparvision.com
