New Glass Packaging As Ballantine'S Expands Distribution Of Brasil

Ballantine's Brasil is introducing a new 1L glass bottle, made by O-I, for its successfully growing Ballantine's Brasil spirit drink. The new size complements the existing 70cl bottle and has been developed by O-I, to help Ballantine's target fresh markets for the drink. The pack echoes the book shape bottle associated with Ballantine's Finest Scotch whisky, but it is produced in clear glass. Colin Mason, New Product Development Innovation Manager at O-I Scotland said: "Ballantine's is one of the most instantly recognisable glass bottle shapes in the world. This new container, coupled with vibrant labelling, is a simple illustration of the versatility of glass and the brand development through which O-I's NPD team adds value to our customers." Ballantine's Brasil is made from Scotch whisky selectively cask steeped with Brazilian lime peel. It makes a great base for a range of cocktails and can be served in many different guises.
