New Glass Company Launches Its First Collection

Sunderland Glassworks launched its first glassware collection at the Autumn Fair held recently at the NEC in Birmingham. The collection is available in two eye-catching patterns, Mistral and Sirocco and in five colour variations - sapphire, garnet, amber, amethyst and turquoise. The Sunderland Glass collection comprises 14 designs including vases, bowls, plates and paperweights. The newly-formed company employs a team of skilled craftsmen and women from the former Hartley Wood factory in Tyne and Wear to help develop the collections of contemporary hand-made, coloured glass giftware for the middle-upper end of the market.
