The Emhart Powers ProScanner 3200 Sealing Surface Inspector is now available in a dual-camera configuration that enables more detailed inspection of the sealing surface of the glass container. This new system is especially useful in detecting wire-edge defects without increasing rejects of commercial bottles. This option adds a second camera & light source & is available on new ProScanner 3200s as well as an upgrade on existing systems. With the two camera set up the standard light source & camera can be used to detect conventional sealing surface defects such as line-overs, chips, blisters, flange finishes & knockouts, while the second camera uses an additional, single row of EEDs that are aimed at the inside of the container finish. This special light source reliably illuminates small wire-edge defects on the inside edge of the sealing surface.
