Emhart Glass has released the FlexIS, a new high level process control system developed for glass container forming machines. Originally designed to control the fully servo-operated NIS machine from Emhart, the FlexIS system is now available for the IS and AIS machines. FlexIS is a modular and therefore expandable system that takes into account the future use of closed loop control strategies that will eventually lead to dramatic reductions in operator intervention and troubleshooting.
