A New Class Of Materials: Glasses Fluorised With Zirconium Tetrafluoride (In French)

The conditions of formation, properties and possible applications of glasses in the system ZrF4-BaF2-NaF are discussed. A coherent structural model and a method for preparation on an industrial scale proposed.
