Carlsberg has started construction on a major new brewery in Southern China. The facility, on a 10M hectolitre greenfield site in Dali, Yunnan Province, is expected to the the company's second biggest brewery globally, behind its 12M hectolitre Baltika site in Russia. The initial phase of the project is due to be completed in 2015, with a second phase operational by 2019.
